Dear Somerville Dog Owners and Friends of Somerville Dogs,

Alderman Rebekah Gewirtz has confirmed that the Committee on Parks and Open Space will continue discussing options for off-leash recreation in West Somerville (including the Community Path and Dilboy Field) when it meets again tomorrow evening, March 22. In particular the City Solicitor is expected to have a response about whether or not the City has control of the site adjacent to Dilboy Stadium. Though the meeting is not a public hearing, Committee Chairwoman Gewirtz invites residents to make comments and ask questions. The meeting is at City Hall on the second floor at 8:00. Note: With the exception of service animals, dogs are not allowed at City Hall. Please do make other arrangements for your canine companions.
